Removing traces of Office 2010 Beta

by Cecille Ramirez on September 29th, 2010

If you have downloaded the Office 2010 beta on your computer, you have to completely remove it first so you can install the Office 2010 Professional Plus.

There are times removing it from the Control Panel does not guarantee it is totally removed or uninstalled from your system. Microsoft has launched a utility called “Microsoft Fix It 50450” that cleanly removes all traces of the Office 2010 beta from your system. It works on Windows 7 so I bet it also works on Windows Vista.

You can download it from the Microsoft Support website.  Just search “Microsoft Fix It 50450”.

How to add text in shape in Word 2007

by Cecille Ramirez on September 28th, 2010

Nothing has changed in terms of adding text inside any shape in Microsoft Word 2007. Earlier versions have the same steps. But this seems to be a question always from students preparing for the exam.

Try this:

1. Place any shape you like on your document. (You can locate Shapes button/icon from Illustrations chunk on your Insert Ribbon Tab)

2. Right mouse click the shape and choose “Add Text” from the choices.

3. Start typing your text inside the shape.

Easy!
