Several key things can be a driving force in an effective job search. And leaving them unconsidered can either send your job search in the wrong direction or leave it lacking luster.  Over the next few weeks, we will discuss the Top 10 Things That Impact Your Job Search.  Let's begin by looking at the top 2:

  • Product Knowledge

Know yourself! What are your interests, skills, experience, training, education, strengths, etc?  What makes you valuable to the industry and companies you are pursuing?

  • Job Plan

Develop an effective job search plan by asking some key questions: What is my career goal? What types of job titles am I pursuing? What companies have these types of jobs? What is the best method to pursue these job opportunities?  Where am I willing to live? How far am I willing to travel/commute? What pay range is ideal?
